Medical school, what?

Each day just seems to get better and better. I know this will change once reality sets in that I am not here on vacation but am here for medical school. I got over to the campus for the first time today, and it is pretty. When they said it was on top of the hill, they weren’t lying! Almost any place you need to go is an uphill climb! I registered for my classes and got my books. I saw students walking to get their books with empty suitcases. I thought they had lost their minds, but when I got over there I was so sad that I didn’t bring one! I had to carry three HEAVY bags of books, and the whole time I was praying that the bags wouldn’t break on me. I have at least 2 textbooks for each of my classes. Late nights at the pool will quickly turn into late nights at the library, but it will be worth it. The rest of the day was spent in the ocean and the pool. The ocean is a lot of fun to swim in because the water is crystal clear and relatively calm. I met a ton of people just hanging out by the pool, and they were really nice. I finally met Jack who was one of the people I had talked to before I came here. Still haven’t met Eugene. Tonight there is some huge party down the beach that should be fun. I think just about everyone is going to it so there will be more people to meet. Roommate update: still no sign of Raphaelle. They did put a random girl in my room last night, but she is leaving and moving in with her real roommate tomorrow. She is a really sweet girl from Trinidad. She’s only 20 years old and in Medical School! That’s all til tomorrow!
