Bad day

Plain and simple, I am miserable here. There has been so much ridiculous drama going on in the past day and a half that I wish I could take this last semester by correspondence and just live at home. The power on the entire island has been out more than it has been on since I arrived. Today 2 of our 4 lectures were cancelled due to power outages. In all I think we were without power from 10:30 - 5:30 this afternoon. That isn't a bad thing and I should never complain about power outages when my family was without electricty for 8 weeks after Katrina, but it's just annoying when you are trying to get back in the groove of school and you can't have lecture.
In other school related news, I still have yet to be able to register for classes. I was on the phone with the offices in New York getting everything straight and then we lost power. On top of all this my roommate has moved out leaving me high and dry. I just don't know what I am going to do. I really don't feel safe living in a place by myself on an island I hardly know. Plus, unlike Grenada crime is pretty bad on the island of St. Vincent. It's not the best idea to have a girl living in a place by herself. We are trying to figure out what to do. I hate leaving my friends but in the long run I have to look out for me and my safety. I just don't know where I would go. Most places are filled up. In the mean time, I am having slumber parties with all the girls living in the apartments below mine. Speaking of which, I better be off to bed. It's getting late and I have lecture early in the morning. Goodnight!
