Busy busy girl
I honestly don't know where the past couple of days have gone. Let's get caught up to speed. Friday night was the dodgeball tournament, the greatest sporting event on this island. It is quite the spectacle. Teams have matching outfits, most of them being homemade shirts with the team name on it. It's hysterical. In a way it reminds me of Mardi Gras with all the costumes. This term I was determined to be the #1 fan, and there is no question that I was #1! My friends had a team so I was their cheerleader so to speak. Their name was Operation Urgent Fury which was the name of the Grenadian invasion (oops, intervention) by the US. Their uniforms were red, white and blue. They made me a t-shirt with the team name on the front. Then I borrowed my friend Eric's Uncle Sam hat. To top it all off Praz tied his 5 foot American flag to a pole so I could wave it. With all of my props I didn't have my camera but several pictures were taken so I will definitely have to post a few on here if I can find some. Sadly Operation Urgent Fury was brought down in the second round of the tournament, but we all had a great time.
Saturday = my last day of freedom until Dec 9th. I planned on this being my one day of doing nothing school related. I watched football. HAHA! It was great! LSU won and I enjoyed taking the break from work.
Sunday. Back to it. Worked all day. This is how it's gonna be from here on out. I plan on moving some of my things into the library because I'm definitely here more than I'm at home. That is a joke about moving things here, but sometimes it feels like I should.
Today has been nothing spectacular. It monsooned once again which has made it chilly here! I've actually been walking around in a sweatshirt because I've been freezing. I don't know how I'll ever get used to cold weather again! Although I do miss it. There's something very strange about the weather being the same day in and day out. I think the weirdest thing is that I was eating dinner last night on campus and watching the tv. There were Christmas commercials on already! I keep forgetting it's November! Yes, there have been several Christmases growing up when I was in shorts, but at least there were a few days that allowed me to wear a sweater. Ok, I've procrastinated enough. I must get back to it. Parasitology final is one week from today! (I'm going to be really sad to see this class end. It's sooo very gross, but I LOVE IT!! I have a serious problem) BYE!
