Adventures in Vinnies

Today we went over to St. Vincent to find a place to live for next term. I honestly can't believe my time in Grenada is winding down! YEAH! The flight over was awful. Those little Caribbean airlines are scary!! We had a driver waiting for us when we landed in St. Vincent. He was great! He called the landlords for us and took us to all the places we wanted to see. The campus is very small, but it looked nice. The first place we went to was some apartments that everyone raved about. I almost cried when I went in there. It was disgusting. The next place we checked out was owned by the former Police Commissioner of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He didn't have enough places to accomodate all of us, but he was the nicest man. He had us all up on his porch just to talk. We then went to the Atlantic View apartments and were almost instantly sold because it had a pool as well as a view of the Atlantic Ocean (if you didn't figure that one out already). We looked at other places afterwards, but Atlantic View ended up being the best. Granted it's not nearly as nice as the place I am in now, but it'll do for the four months we spend in St. Vincent. (Pictures posted below) We then had lunch at this awesome little place. The people were SO NICE. Across the bay from where we ate was Young Island. It's an entire resort on this little island...AMAZING. So all in all my experience in St. Vincent was fabulous. I am actually really looking forward to moving there. It's much different from Grenada, but in some ways that's a good thing. It will definitely provide more adventures. Ok, I am exhausted and I have class early in the morning. Good night!
