Like the Oscars, but WAY BETTER
Path lab started off a little differently this afternoon. One of the guys in my Path group started off by making a little presentation that was one for the record books. He decided that we needed to have awards within our group. One award for the "Path All Star" and the other for the dummy decided at the end of each lab session. He started out showing the award for the person who says the dumbest thing of the day (trust me, it happens everyday and we're all close enough to make fun of each other for it). He found Christmas stickers! Haven't I always said Grenada was a couple months behind? That was funny. I was in no way prepared for what was coming next. He found the most hideous gold figurine somewhere in Grenada. There was a huge unveiling of the trophy. We were all cracking up. I laughed so hard that I cried. This thing is indescribable. If I ever win it I might have to post a picture of it on here. As for today, I won the dummy award. I DESERVED IT TOO! My presentation was going beautifully this afternoon. Four clinical tutors were at our table at different points. I was feeling quite good about myself. My head was slowly getting bigger and bigger, then in a quick instant it was deflated like a balloon. I left out an entire part of the disease process, just skimmed right over that section in the book. Of course once the tutors realize you don't know something they grill you and I just had to sit there not knowing. It's an awful experience! Oh well. You live you learn. Back to studying.
