St. Vincent and I are still not getting along!

Just what was Vincent the saint of anyway? Today shows some improvement, but there are still no decisions about housing. I am working on it. It's just such a big mess. Yesterday we had all of our classes for the first day. Electricity went out in the midafternoon instead of the morning. I think they have fixed the electrical problems on the island finally. Last night we had hospital orientation. I had no clue that I am actually doing mini-rotations this term. I will spend each hospital visit in a differnent department. All of this fun begins Monday with Pediatrics. Then on Thursday I will be moving onto Orthopedics. I think these visits will be great. They are even going to let us do a few things (more so than I originally thought). After orientation a big group of us went out to dinner. It was the most fun I've had in a while. It helped get my mind off of everything that has been going on. I've just been having a rough time adjusting for some reason. At least it is only four months, and one week is already done. I am looking forward to this afternoon. The school is having a BBQ for us so for once I won't be searching for food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I can't believe how much more expensive everything is here! Well I am going to run. Happy Birthday, Dad!!!
