I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving day! We are having a huge Thanksgiving day celebration late this afternoon which should be a lot of fun. Everyone is bringing something and the boys are frying turkeys (they always like a project). I think we are expecting about 30 people. That's a lot of broccoli with cream sauce for me to make! I don't mind though. I just hope a big batch like that turns out alright!!
Yesterday I had my big Physical Examination exam (the OSCE). I was SOO nervous because I had to write a prescription, read an x-ray, read an EKG and see four "patients"! I had 7 minutes in each station! My first station was history taking and it was tough because I was so nervous! All the patients were so nice and gave feedback at the end of each exam. The doctor overseeing my last physical exam is by far my favorite person at this school. She is just too nice and so helpful. All in all I really enjoyed this experience! That is definitely the first time I can actually say I enjoyed an exam, but it was fun!! I don't know what I got. I'm sure they will look at my EKG report and laugh because I still see a bunch of squiggly lines. Well once again have a Happy Thanksgiving. Holidays are always difficult when you are stuck on an island a million miles away from the family. At least I have good friends to celebrate with and only 24 days left living on the rock!
