New rotation!

WELCOME TO LINCOLN MEDICAL CENTER! So today was my first day of Pediatrics at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx. It is as different as night and day to old Sound Shore. Sound Shore was more like doing a rotation at Northshore in Slidell. Lincoln is more like being in Charity. Today was more of an orientation day. I found out that my six weeks of Pediatrics is broken into two weeks in the clinic, two weeks on the floors and Pediatric ICU, and two weeks in the Pediatric ER. While I have no desire to do Pediatrics, I am looking forward to the rotation, especially the ER. Just wanted to give y'all a quick update. Things are going well up here. I manage to go into the city just about every weekend. This past weekend, my friend Praz had a party at his parents' house on Long Island. Their home was absolutely beautiful (complete with a movie theater!!!) and it was great to catch up with so many of my med school friends. The only other news I have is that I am now a member of the LSU Alumni Association New York Chapter. I know it's really funny considering that I am not an Alum of LSU, but they don't care. For each football game, all the alums gather together in the city to watch the games. I figure it will be a fun thing to do! It's always fun to meet new people from Louisiana! Well I must run! Hope this finds you well. Hopefully I will post from time to time. I'm sure there will be great stories in the coming weeks!!
