Beginning Week #2
And so the second week of school begins. Hopefully I will be on a better schedule from now on and I will do better with my postings. Everything has just been so crazy since I've gotten here that I haven't gotten in a good routine. I promise I will get better. The big AMSA party on the beach was this weekend. It's the first party that the new first term students go to, and it's probably my favorite party. It was fun last year when I knew no one and it was even more fun this year. Somehow I managed to stay out til the wee hours of the morning (whoops), and Sunday morning Kelly came and woke me up to go to brunch. We have this really cute little restaurant next door to our house called the Turning Point. They have brunch every Sunday morning so we thought we would try it out. It was good (I had Eggs Benedict), but we melted from the heat. It has been abnormally hot here, and it was miserable to sit out in the hot sun waiting for an hour for brunch. The guy that owns the place is from Britain so he had some unusual things to eat. One being haggis. I had never heard of that before, but he made the mistake of telling me what it's made of, blood and oatmeal stuffed into a sheep's bladder...sounds delicious. I did not try any of that. We then came over to campus for the bizzare they were having. Then we went home and swam because it was so hot. I have never sweat so much in my life. After our swim, we did the same thing we've been doing for a week, sitting on our porch looking at the ocean. This morning we had class. I'm getting used to the 8AM thing, and I love it. I have the whole day afterwards. Well I need to run. I have an online quiz due tomorrow and I need to go over everything.
