HAPPY CARNIVALE!

So today is Grenada’s carnivale. I am posting a picture of some of the masqueraders who “brought carnivale to the beach.” They did a little performance for us, I had my picture taken with them, and then they asked us for money. HAHA! Typical. I unpacked my stuff in my temporary room so it felt like home before school starts. Then we went in search of food. That is the only thing I hate about these national holidays is that it’s impossible to find food. We decided to go back to our old hotel and eat by the pool. We knew it would be open. Well of course I order my food and 25 minutes later they tell me they have no chicken. I was so aggrevated! Welcome back to Grenada. We hung out there for a while. Then we went out on the beach and ran into a bunch of people that had just gotten back. I came back to the house to shower, but the boys who live in the other house (I live in a little compound) were hungry so we went in search of food again. La Boulangerie was open…ugh. I’ve seriously eaten there 4 times since I’ve been back. I had pizza, and I actually got to take my leftovers home with me. Yay for having a microwave! I’m calling it an early night since I begin class at 8AM. I’m really looking forward to an hour Physio lecture that early in the morning. This is going to be brutal. Sorry for the mass postings of the journal entries. The library has been closed and I haven’t had my computer on campus so no internet access. That is actually the only thing missing at our house. Oh well. I can live without it. Early day tomorrow. Must get some sleep.
