SHE SAID WHAT?

WE'RE GOING TO MARGARITA ISLAND!!! A good portion of my class is going to Margarita Island (off the northern coast of Venezuela) in between third and fourth term. We only have a weekend between the two terms so we deserve to do something fun. I am super excited about the trip. There is REAL shopping there as well as McDonald's! We'll be staying at the Hilton which has a lazy river. I promise to take lots of pictures and post them on here when we get back. The trip isn't until Feb 17th, but we finalized everything today.
Nothing too exciting happening today. I guess the only interesting thing was what occurred during our small group session this afternoon. We had to watch these little videos and discuss the implications of each. The first one was about how minority groups do not get the same health care as whites. I was the faciltator for this meeting so I began the discussion after the video was over. This little Asian girl in our group piped up and said "It's the fault of all you white people!" At first I thought she was joking. She was not. I am still not over it. I'll leave you on that note.
