2 birth defects for the price of 1!

Last night I called it quits early. I seriously stared at the same page for 30 minutes and nothing was sinking in so I knew I just needed to stop. I left the library and had 25 minutes to wait for the bus. The bus driver, Peter, saw me walk up and told me to have a seat because I was early. So I started talking to him and he told me that he had some friends who gave tours of the island. This is something that I really want to do after finals are over because I haven't gotten to explore the island at all. I've been to the hotel and campus and that is about all. Somehow talking about tours led to Peter asking me out. EXCUSE ME!?! Luckily finals is an excellent excuse, but I about died. The bus driver asking me out on a date...definitely a first! Oh those Grenadians. I woke up this morning my stomach in knots for my stupid Anatomy table quiz. I shouldn't have been nervous about this one. Although I had a slight scare when Dr. Brahim came up to talk to me and told me he was giving our quiz. Thank goodness he was joking. Like I said yesterday, Dr. Ranganathan is the greatest! He didn't tell us what we got but I'm almost positive that I got a 10 this go round. Dr. Ranganathan also teaches us Embryology so I thought that this was a good time to ask him about my feet. I had determined that I have syndactyly (webbed toes). He confirmed this and told me that I also had brachydactyly (short toes). Then he started asking me if anyone in my family had this and if I had any "problems". HAHAHAHAH. A bunch of my friends had gathered around when I asked him and we all cracked up. So yes, I have not one but two birth defects. See how fun medicine is?! That was definitely one of the funniest things that has happened around here in a while (well except for the bus driver asking me out...only me)! We finished up class this afternoon! YAY! We had two hours of Radiology lectures. It was so boring! If I couldn't sit through two hours of that, then I'm thinking that Radiology is definitely not an option. Now I'm just sitting in the library studying away, and it's what I'll be doing for the next 10 days. Gotta run! Have a good one!

OK twinkle toes, I hope thoes are the only birth defects you have. Your journal is so up beat these days it makes me so happy. The long wait is almost over and your first semester is too. I hope you can tour the Island when exams are over it will open other views and activites for the next year. Study hard I love you Mimi
