Ok, I have realized that I need to make this journal more upbeat since lately all I talk about it how I want to hop on a plane and return to the US. Mrs. Benita says she wants to cry when she reads it and my MiMi is telling me it's sweet how I want to be home so bad. The goal from now on is to not depress people while they are reading this. SORRY ABOUT THAT!
This morning I had my last "patient" interview. The doctor leading it was awful. He basically yelled at us and criticized every little thing that we did. WE AREN'T DOCTORS YET! How are we supposed to know that "Jim" has angina?? Class this afternoon was brutal. Anatomy is still throwing new information our way which is just great. Even the Biochem department is being nice and tying up loose ends. Right after class was over I headed to the library to study. I procrastinated a bit, wrote a few e-mails, then decided to take this online Anatomy quiz. It was not pretty! At least it has put the fear in me (Yes Mrs. B, I told you I wasn't even nervous when I wrote you that e-mail a couple of hours ago...well now I am!!). So I was in a bad mood about that quiz so I called my friend to go get some food. Pete and I grabbed dinner tonight at one of my personal favorites, La Boulangerie...the Italian eatery with a French name (Grenada never ceases to amaze me). I ordered a spicy pasta dish that sounded good. Well they weren't lying when they said it was spicy!! I could barely eat it, and that's saying a lot because I LOVE spicy food. This is the second time in my life that I am experiencing heartburn, and it's killing me! Hopefully it will pass because I need to focus on this Anatomy stuff. Ok, I must go try to study. I've got miles to go before I sleep!
