Yesterday after class was over I went for a swim in the ocean. This was the first time I had been in the ocean in probably six weeks! It was the best thing I have done in a long time. That little bit of exercise cleared my head and I am prepared to hit the books for the next couple of weeks. I really should swim everyday. If I could get up in the morning I so would do it. However, it is almost impossible for me to get up in the mornings lately.
This afternoon we had one lecture and then our Biochemistry small group sessions. Well somehow my group managed to finish in 20 minutes! The professor had not walked in yet so we had to sit around and wait for him. Then when he came in we pretended like we were on the last question...what are we 10 years old? It was really funny. I still don't know how we managed to finish that fast. I think everyone just wanted to get it over with so we flew through the questions. It is over now at least! This evening we had our Mock Histology Practical Exam. It went alright. I know exactly which systems I need to brush up on, so when the time comes in two weeks I should be ready. Can you believe that two weeks from tomorrow I will be finished with my first term of medical school? It has just flown by!! The greatest thing is that three weeks from this day at this time I will be home! I get so excited thinking about going home that I try not to think about it. Adam, Mikey and I were sitting at Glover's (restaurant on campus) this evening eating dinner and I wish you could have seen us. None of us were talking and we all just had this look on our faces like "Can I please go home and have something for dinner that is actually edible?" Everyone is so exhausted and ready to get back to the US that we look like the saddest bunch. The only positive to this whole situation is that everyone knows what everyone else is feeling so we're all here supporting each other. It makes things a little easier. Ok, I have procrastinated enough and Embryology is calling me. Until the next entry,

21 Days til I'm kissing the ground at the New Orleans airport. Actually the thought of that is disgusting...21 days til I'm kissing my family at the New Orleans airport (MUCH BETTER!)
