You never know what could happen...

Last night my girlfriends and I had this fabulous plan to go to the White Coat Ceremony for some free food. We are chatting with some of the first termers we have met over the past couple of days, and then we run into Dr. Brahim. If you don't recall, he was one of my Anatomy professors last term (one of my favorites). So we go over to speak with him. He still remembers my name (impressive), and he started talking to us about our new classes. Then out of nowhere Jenn asks him if he has ever been to the hermit crab races at the Owl. He says that he has not, and Jenn thinks that we should go. Luckily I had managed to do some work before hand, but the plan was to go study after the free food. Next thing you know we are piled into Dr. Brahim's car on our way to the Owl. When we get there he made me pick out which crab was going to win the race. I told him he had to go with Trinidad because that's where he was from. I picked Nigeria (he looked like a fast little crab to me). Well Nigeria won. OOPS! Dr. Brahim had the best time, and we managed to get home really early which I was most happy about.
Today we had our three classes as usual and then an hour of clinical skills. I was not looking forward to clinical skills, but then the speaker never showed up so it was cancelled!! Sonia (one of my roommates) has not been feeling well so she went to the clinic where they told her she has Dengue Fever. It's carried by mosquitos. They had to draw her blood and she will know in about a week if she has it. She doesn't think she has it, but you never know. Apparently the first time you get it, it's not very bad, but they need to know in case you get it again. The second time around is much worse. I'll definitely be wearing Off more often. I'm a little freaked out about that. Well that's about all to report today. I'm currently in the library doing massive amounts of work. I need to get back in my school mode (it's been so tough) and locking myself in the library seems to be the solution. Talk to you soon!
