Money raised here at SGU to help people in Slidell?

Our Student Government Association (SGA) has been taking up collections for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. So far they have collected $2500!! I asked one of my class reps, Jeremy, if they could send that money to the Chris Duhon Relief Fund. Chris, a Salmen basketball superstar who graduated from high school the same year I did, plays for the Chicago Bulls. He has started a fund strictly for Slidell (which I think is wonderful). Jeremy said he was going to bring it up tonight at the SGA meeting and they would vote on it. I almost wish I could pitch the idea, but there is no way I could get through a speech. I'm sure I would cry. Keep your fingers crossed!! I would love to know that the money raised here benefitted my hometown. If not, then I'm just happy that so many people donated to help hurricane victims. I will keep you posted.
Nothing else new to report. I am on a role with my studying. I'm finally back to pulling the long hours that I used to last term. Let's hope I can keep this up. Physio is now my favorite subject. Once you get into it, it's super interesting. Immuno is by far my least favorite. That woman has ruined it for me! Well I need to run. I have some more reviewing to do and then I'm going to a study group session. Love y'all!
