This morning we had four lectures (not the usual 3). Two Physiology and two Neuroscience. It was rough. After class let out we went to the grocery store because they had restocked last night. Seriously, yesterday they had NOTHING. We are well stocked now. We unpacked all our groceries, ate lunch and then I took a nap. Now I am back on campus doing some work. I have so much to do. Hopefully if I continue working hard I will be in good shape at the end of this week. I am trying to stay here as long as I can. I even brought my own dinner from home.
I still can't get in touch with the family back in Slidell. Who knows when the phones will work again, but I try all the time just in case. Last night I tried my dad's cell phone and it rang twice. I got so excited and then it gave me a busy signal. So sad. He's the only one I haven't talked to since the hurricane, and I would love to be able to get in touch with him. I am slowly hearing from friends and they are giving me status reports on their homes. Well let me run get some studying done. Love y'all!
