Blood Pressure

I had my normal morning classes, Physio, Neuro and Immuno then this afternoon I had Physiology lab. In today's lab we learned how to take each other's blood pressure. It was actually pretty fun. I could actually hear it! I remember trying to learn how to do it in high school and not being able to hear anything, but this attempt was much better. Megha was my partner and we have decided we're ready to take on the hospital. Although we think we might need to be separated because we have too much fun. A visiting professor led the discussion portion of the lab. He told us that since we're going to be the "big, scary doctor" a nurse needs to take the blood pressure of our patients to get an accurate reading...I thought that was a pretty entertaining comment. Now I am back in the library studying away. Physio can be so confusing and it takes me forever to sit here and try to figure it out. I do like it, but I just get everything mixed up. Ok, back to the work. I am hoping all is well in Slidell. After Tuesday's luck of getting through to my dad's cell I haven't been able to get through again. I will just have to keep trying. Until tomorrow's adventures,

I ran across this today and thought it was fitting:

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans
And miss it each night and day.
I know I’m not wrong. This feeling’s getting stronger
The longer I stay away.

Miss them moss covered vines…the tall sugar pines
Where mocking birds used to sing.
And I’d like to see that lazy Mississippi hurrying into spring.

The moonlight on the bayou, a Creole tune that fills the air.
I dream about Magnolias in bloom and I’m wishin I was there.

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans
When that’s where you left your heart?
